Hey folks, Justinio here, bringing you the latest update. Lonk's kitchen is currently still undergoing the papier-mache' layering process, after which I will be painting it "Avocado green." I intend to do some clay tiles for the floor. The doorway in the back will lead to Lonk's staircase, leading up to his bedroom. And speaking of Lonk: He's currently undergoing a new design. I'm giving him some spiky hair and some goggles for his adventures. What those adventures may be will remain a secret for now. Anyhoo, that's all I have for now, in the meantime I'll be continuing on to creating Lonk's blueprint and start him on armature design. Stick around, as we're getting to the fleshing-out of the characters hopefully this coming week, so stay tuned! This is Justinio, signing out. ~

Hey folks! So, I was off work tonight, up late playing around with some spare clay I found, when I decided to sculpt Jerredia's head. "This is so perfect, I'm gonna' bake it!" I said. So I used some dental floss, and I cut his jaw, neck and top of his head off, wiggled it in place on the neck of his armature, then baked the head upside-down for forty minutes in the oven. The result was Jerredia's "skull". I then proceeded to snap his head back on and, lo-and-behold, a perfect fit! I almost couldn't even get his skull back off! It was perfect! No play! Then I proceeded to re-attach his chin, hair and neck around his skull, applying excess clay to the baked for "skin". This works great for expressions and talking, because no matter how I squish his features, the skull will retain his original facial structure, while maintaining a surreal, true, clay look. (I'll apply his eyes and eyebrows tomorrow) I couldn't be happier, and I guarantee you I'll be starting on Yirk's head next! This is Justinio, signing out and going to bed. ZZZZZzzzzzz.....

Painting the first coat onto Lonk's Living-Room. Working on his kitchen next, as I've already begun constructing it from cardboard. I've been very busy as of late, but don't worry, the project is moving along full-speed! Hey folks, Justinio here, giving you an update on the latest from "Project Klaxon." I decided against plywood and went with cardboard for my interior sets for one reason: Lighter sets. The sets I've been working on are made from different cuts of cardboard placed together to increase sturdiness, and will then be layered with papier-mache' to dry in the sun. Since today was a cool day, I decided to work indoors on the bare-bones parts of the sets first. This is going to be Lonk's living-room seen here. I will be applying a working cardboard door with working hinges to this set soon. His kitchen will be adjacent to the living-room and will seamlessly transition between the two during shooting. Lonk's hut will have a living-room, kitchen and hallway leading up to his bedroom & bathroom. Can't wait to start decking it out with awesome clay furniture! Justinio out.
